We are proud to share that our Managing Partner, Jason Sanders, was highlighted in the latest issue of The Accelerator, a publication dedicated to showcasing the people and organizations driving economic growth across Jackson County. The feature recognizes Jason’s long-standing commitment to supporting local businesses and his leadership in regional economic development.
In the article, Jason reflects on the origins of First Midwest Advisors, which he launched in 2019 after a 25-year career in banking. Having served as a Regional Banking President, he recognized a critical need for advisory services tailored to privately held companies seeking growth capital, acquisition support, or guidance in selling their businesses. First Midwest Advisors was created to meet that need and to strengthen the long-term health of our local business ecosystem.
Jason also shares why Jackson County means so much to him personally. It is where he built his career, became deeply involved in community organizations, met his wife, and chose to raise his family. From the beginning, the Jackson business community has been inclusive and supportive, and many of the mentors and leaders Jason encountered along the way have become lifelong friends.
His feature highlights his decades of service with Accelerate Jackson County and The Enterprise Group, where he has served on the board since the early 2000s. Motivated by a desire to help shape the future of the place he calls home, Jason has remained a vocal advocate for economic development and its role in creating jobs, generating opportunity, and improving the quality of life for residents.
